The car is powered using a relatively midrange engine that can range from 1.6 L, 1.8 L or a 2.0 L locomotive that uses either a manual or an automatic transmission to power its drivetrain. As a result, this car can generate at least 80 kW of power, which is more than enough for the majority of commuting activities seen in Sri Lanka.

The Ford Ranger is a popular pick up in Sri Lanka known for its ruggedness and overall durability. It is a true work horse in every sense, which will cost you between 2.8 to 3.4 Million rupees for the earlier models whilst fourth generation models of the Ford Ranger in Sri Lanka will fetch between 3.6 to 4.5 million rupees. The latest iteration of the Ford Ranger is a powerful machine, and comes with either a 2.2 L or a 3.2 L VG Turbo five-cylinder diesel locomotive that also uses a six-speed transmission to move its drivetrain. Due to this, the Ford Ranger can produce a maximum power of around 147 kW that allow it to tackle most tough terrains found in Sri Lanka.

As a result, the Focus can produce more than 92 kW of power and more than 159 Nm of torque, to handle the city driving conditions seen in our country.

Ford has been experimenting with the Hybrid fuel technology since the beginning of the 21st century to find alternate methods to power its range of cars and SUV’s. In 2004, Ford went into a patent sharing agreement with Toyota that granted access to some of Toyota’s in-house developed hybrid technology; in exchange for some of Fords own patents to Toyota. The company now produces a number of plug-in electric vehicles, Hybrid vehicles as well as plug-in hybrid vehicles to power its vehicle range. As of 2015, the Ford Motor Company is now the world second largest manufacturer of Hybrid powered vehicles after the Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan. Some of its most popular hybrid models include cars such as the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Ford C-MAX Hybrid. However, these models might be a bit difficult to find in the local vehicle market, though this can be expected to change in the near future.
