When the Italian sports car giant Lamborghini took it up upon themselves to create a powerful yet family oriented sports vehicle, they might have not imagined what a truly capable beast that machine might turnout to be. Well, now we know, and that machine is called the Lamborghini Urus.
As stated by Lamborghini, the Urus is the world’s first Super Sport Utility Vehicle. According to the company’s own words, it can be categorised as a super sports car with the soul and functionality that is typical of a family oriented SUV.
As such, the Urus truly lives up to its claims. This behemoth on wheels is powered using a massive 4-litre V8 bi-turbo engine, which is capable of producing a maximum power output of around 650 HP @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque that exceeds 850 Nm at just 4500 rpm, giving it the best weight-to-power ratio of any SUV seen in the market.
As a result, the Lamborghini Urus can achieve an impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while also offering an outstanding top speed of 305 km/h on the road.
But, if all this power made you think that the Urus must be a thirsty machine, well, guess again. According to Lamborghini, the Urus can travel 100 km while only consuming 12.7-litres of fuel, saving both its fuel tank and your pocket in the long run.
